Greg Friedman

CEO & Managing Principal

Peachtree Hotel Group
Greg has more than 17 years’ hospitality experience with an emphasis on deal-structure and financing. He successfully has led Peachtree in more than $1 billion in hotel acquisitions, investments and development since co-founding the company. He formerly was senior vice president of business development for Specialty Finance Group, LLC, a direct lender providing hotel first mortgage and FF&E financing, where he originated more than $2 billion of hotel debt. Previously, Greg was vice president of business development for GMAC Commercial Mortgage – Asset-Backed Lending Division. During his six-year tenure, he originated, closed and funded more than 300 hospitality FF&E financing transactions with an aggregate capital structure exceeding $10 billion. Greg holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Texas at Austin.

Scott Trebilco

Scott Trebilco is a Principal in the Real Estate Group at Blackstone and is based in New York. Mr. Trebilco focuses on new investment opportunities in North America, with a primary focus on the hotel and hospitality sector. Before joining Blackstone, Mr. Trebilco worked at Goldman, Sachs & Co. for eight years focusing on the commercial real estate and lodging sectors. Mr. Trebilco received degrees in Finance and Law from The University of Auckland, New Zealand, where he graduated with honors.

 

Ted Brumleve

Senior Director, Strategic Development

Ted Brumleve is responsible for the programming, design, construction and technical services for other Wyndham-managed hotels. Prior to joining Wyndham upon their acquisition of Dolce Hotels and Resorts in 2015, Ted served as Dolce’s Director of Design and Construction at Dolce Hotels and Resorts. His previous leadership positions include Virgin Hotels North America, LLC as Vice President Technical Services, Warnick + Company Director of Project Management, and Managing Partner at BBG-BBGM, the internationally acclaimed architecture and interior design firm. Ted also serves as an adjunct professor at New York University, Tisch Center for Hospitality and Tourism. Since graduating from the University of Cincinnati, College of Design, Architecture & Art, Mr. Brumleve has worked globally on a broad range of projects, frequently speaks at hotel and tourism events, and has authored numerous articles within the lodging industry media.

Rhiannon Jacobsen

Vice President

Rhiannon Jacobsen is the Vice President of Strategic Relationships at the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). In this role, Rhiannon focuses on a variety of clients and initiatives related to the green building industry. Rhiannon’s areas of professional oversight include the manufacturing, technology, commercial contracting and hospitality sectors, as well as all traditional philanthropic and corporate sponsorship activities of USGBC. She also oversees various market based engagement activities including the LEED User Groups. Rhiannon first joined USGBC in March 2006 as the Director of Sponsorships and Exhibits and has also served as the Director of Strategic Accounts. Rhiannon graduated from Brandeis University with a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies and History.

Geraldine Calpin

Geraldine Calpin is the CMO at Hilton Worldwide, responsible for setting the strategic direction for Hilton’s digital guest agenda, and maximising commercial advantage from all direct digital channels. Ms. Calpin joined Hilton Worldwide in 2002. During her tenure, she was responsible for the launch of Hilton’s pioneering digital check-in with room selection solution at over 4,000 hotels, the introduction of its eCommerce function and the development of its unique eCommerce and demand generation program for hotels globally. Ms.Calpin was recognised in 2015 by CNN as one of the 11 people globally who are changing the way we travel. Prior to joining Hilton Worldwide, Ms. Calpin held various roles within the travel industry, including sales, planning, operations and marketing roles at Trusthouse Forte and Le Méridien Hotels.

Mitch Garrett

VP, Acquisition & Development

Trump Hotels
Mitch Garrett, Vice President of Acquisition and Development at Trump Hotels, brings more than 13 years of capital markets, hotel, and commercial and residential real estate experience to the firm. He is responsible for leadership of Trump Hotels development expansion across all United States based states & territories, including acquisitions, management contract and technical services negotiations. Mitch’s solid financial background and creative energies bring a well-balanced skill set for targeting new brand and management opportunities, putting together the various components of a real estate development transaction, and creating new revenue generating concepts and designs. His career includes experience gained as a Vice President of Development and Project Manager for a national hotel development and management company for over 5 years, as well 4 years as an investment banker for Citigroup’s Capital Markets and Barclays Capital in New York where he focused on asset backed securitization and syndication. While with these organizations, Mitch has played a leadership role in the acquisition, development or management of over 20 hotels valued at over $1 billion and has underwritten and syndicated over $8 billion of real estate backed transactions and over $1 billion of other asset backed security transactions. Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, Mitch holds a BA in Economics from Rutgers University in New Jersey where he received a full academic scholarship and was a finalist in the Rhodes Scholarship Program at the University of Oxford. An active athlete, Mitch was a point guard for the men’s varsity basketball team and was a member of the Big East Academic All-Star Team. He holds a Series 7, 63 and 24.
